Leading up to his junior welterweight unification fight with Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford back in August of 2017, Julius ‘Blue Machine’ Indongo was becoming a serious threat as one of the big players in Boxing. Or so we thought. Indongo had some good victories in his professional boxing career before the Crawford fight. Wins such as Edward ‘The Eagle’ Troyanovsky and Ricky ‘Rickster’ Burns. Indongo used his awkward pressure to wear down his opponents.
Indongo’s boxing style is wild, however, and it got him into serious trouble against Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford. In the unification fight with Crawford, Indongo’s wild boxing style created a plethora of opportunities for Crawford to make him pay. Who knew leading up to the unification fight with Crawford that Indongo was such a sitting duck for vicious counterpunches to the body?

Crawford finished Indongo in the 3rd round of the unification fight with a fight-ending left hook. Indongo did not get up from the left hook shot and suffered the first loss of his professional boxing career. Fast forward to March 9, 2018, Indongo would return to the ring after losing his first professional fight against yet another undefeated fighter in Regis Prograis. This fight would be for the vacant WBC Interim junior welterweight title.
In this fight, Indongo’s awkward wild boxing style would rear its ugly head again and Prograis took advantage by landing hard counter body punches to Indongo’s ribcage. Prograis knocked Indongo down four times inside of two rounds. Indongo has lost his last two fights against two opponent who took advantage of Indongo’s awkward boxing style.
