So contaminated meat, huh? Not sure about that! Canelo Alvarez has been temporarily suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for failing 2 drug tests. The catalyst is the banned substance drug clenbuterol. The dictionary meaning of Clenbuterol is “a synthetic drug used in the treatment of asthma and other respiratory diseases and in veterinary obstetrics. It also promotes the growth of muscle and has been used illegally by athletes to enhance performance.” So, contaminated meat, huh?
The drug tests that Canelo failed were random urine test conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA). VADA is a group the usually catches any and every athlete who uses Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDS). Canelo will be attending a hearing set up by the NSAC on April 10, 2018. It will be then, that we all will find out whether Canelo vs. GGG 2 will happen on May 5, 2018.
Personally, I feel there is way too much money on the table for this fight not to happen. What do you think Boxing World? After the NSAC meet with Canelo, will Canelo vs. GGG 2 still happen? Check out Potshot Boxing’s (PSB) latest boxing poll and vote.
