April 7, 2018, will make another great chapter in the sport of Boxing. WBA junior middleweight champion ‘The American Dream’ Erislandy Lara. IBF junior middleweight champion Jarrett ‘Swift’ Hurd. This junior middleweight unification fight will be ‘The Matador’ vs. ‘The Bull.’ Lara in a lot of the boxing world’s eyes is an undefeated fighter given how he clearly beat Paul ‘The Punisher’ Williams, and you can also argue that he beat Canelo Alvarez.

Now Lara will face an unbelievable undefeated pressure fighter in Jarrett Hurd. Let’s remember Boxing World, in Hurd’s last fight back in October of 2017, Austin ‘No Doubt’ Trout was outclassing him. Trout, however, start admiring his work and ran out of gas which allowed for Hurd to take over the fight and stop Trout late.
Now Hurd will be in with another superior boxer in Erislandy Lara.
I expect for Lara to outbox Hurd like Trout did, but in this fight, Lara will not run out of gas or admire his work. Lara will stay focus and take advantage of Hurd’s lunging in and looping punches. Hurd will once again need to use his stalking power to win this unification fight. Hurd is strong so the chances of him wearing down Lara is possible, but not sure that it will happen. Lara is smart, and I expect for Lara to keep the fight in the middle of the ring, stay off the ropes, and cruise to a victory. Heck, maybe even a stoppage.
Prediction
‘The American Dream’ Erislandy Lara by TKO victory
