By Canelo dropping out of the May 5 fight due to the failed drug test, it caused the NSAC to show favor to him, thus, the 1-year suspension would retro back to when he failed the drug test back in February of 2018. With that said, Canelo will be expected to fight again in August of 2018. This could open up a possible showdown with GGG in September.
