Adonis ‘Superman’ Stevenson will be making his 9th defense of his WBC light-heavyweight title when he faces off against Badou Jack ‘The Ripper’ on Saturday Night. Jack presents a serious threat to Stevenson’s light-heavyweight title reign. Jack loves to come forward and bang so the question will be whether or not Stevenson can handle what Jack is going to dish out.
The Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada will be in for one heck of a fight. Both guys have power in both hands and good movement. Jack’s aggression and Stevenson’s boxing can be a recipe for a good all-action fight. Jack will come straightforward in this fight so I expect for Stevenson to pick off Jack’s aggression with good counter shots. If Jack can make Stevenson wilt under his relentless pressure, then you have to give him the edge in this light-heavyweight thriller.
If Stevenson, however, is able to handle the pressure of Jack ‘The Ripper’, then you have to go with him successfully defending his WBC light-heavyweight title. Not to mention, he can end the night with one straight left hand. Jack’s aggression or Stevenson’s boxing? Potshot Boxing (PSB) will go with the champ in this close encounter.
Prediction
Adonis ‘Superman’ Stevenson by Unanimous Decision
