On Saturday, December 22, 2018, Christmas was alive and well as Tony Harrison upset Jermell ‘Iron Man’ Charlo to capture the WBC junior middleweight title. The boxing world did not expect this. In what should have been a stay busy fight for Jermell Charlo turned out to be a tougher foe than expected.

Harrison did a great job using his jab and boxing Charlo. Nevertheless, the Charlo did come on strong and landed some good shots on Harrison as well. It was good back and forth action which caused this close fight to go to the judges’ scorecards.
When the dust settled, it was Tony Harrison who got the 12th round unanimous decision victory, thus, capturing the WBC junior middleweight champion. There are a lot of the boxing world who felt that Harrison’s victory was well deserved and a lot of the boxing world who felt that Jermell Charlo did enough in the fight to keep his title.
