So just when the boxing world thought that a big deal was going to be made between Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman, Pacquiao throws a curveball. Now that’s not to say that a potential Pacquiao vs. Thurman fight may never happen, but for now, Pacquiao has made other plans with the lucrative Japanese promotional company RIZIN.

Like Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Pacquiao will take his turn at the Japanese promotional company RIZIN. Pacquiao signed a deal with RIZIN to appear on their RIZIN 15 event on April 21, 2019. Pacquiao’s involvement in the event is yet to be determined, but an appearance in RIZIN 15 may lead to Pacquiao doing more work in a later event for RIZIN such as RIZIN 16.
Well, you have to guess that Pacquiao watched Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, Jr. clear 9 million dollars for a boxing match that lasted under 3 minutes. With that said, Pacquiao must have been thinking why can’t he take that easy money grab as well.
Manny Pacquiao has earned the right to do whatever he wants in combat sports. Hopefully, however, when Pacquiao finishes playing footsies with RIZIN, he will decide to get back in the ring with some of the best welterweights in the world of Boxing.
