On May 31, 2019, WBC strawweight champion Wanheng Menayothin will be defending his title against Tatsuya Fukuhara in front of his home crowd of Thailand. This is a rematch between the two fighters. In their first meeting, it was Menayothin who was awarded the 12th round unanimous decision victory.

Since losing to Menayothin, Fukuhara is on a 2-fight win streak which led him back to get another crack at the WBC strawweight championship. Should be a great fight, but in the end, Menayothin will be heavily favored to win this rematch against Fukuhara.
Menayothin has been flying under the radar in the sport of boxing. Also known as “TBE” – Thai Best Ever, he has been just that as he has successfully defended his WBC strawweight title since he won it back on November 6, 2014. Menayothin has an undefeated record consisting of 52 wins, 0 losses, and 18 wins coming by way of knockout.
Menayothin currently has the most consecutive boxing wins of any fighter including Former Pound 4 Pound King Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, Jr. Sure, his boxing resume may not be as great as Mayweather’s, but 52-0 and counting is most impressive. The strawweight division is not one of the glamour divisions in boxing, but you cannot deny the dominance of WBC strawweight champion Wanheng Menayothin.
