The Jamel Herring vs. Jonathan Oquendo WBO junior lightweight title fight that was rescheduled for tonight has been postponed again. The champion Herring has once again tested positive for COVID-19.
This fight was originally scheduled for July 2, 2020, but leading up to the fight, Herring tested positive for COVID-19, thus, the fight was postponed and rescheduled for tonight July 14, 2020.
This fight will be rescheduled again at a later date, but it will be rescheduled no earlier than 6 weeks after the COVID-19 positive test. The Top Rank Boxing fight card will go on as scheduled tonight without Herring and Oquendo.
The Mikaela Mayer vs. Helen Joseph Women’s junior lightweight fight will replace Herring vs. Oquendo as the main event.
