Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire defeated Simpiwe “V12” Vetyeka by technical decision to capture the WBA featherweight championship. The fight was stopped in the 4th round because Donaire was unable to continue due to the bad cut over his eye. After 4 rounds, the judges went to the scorecards and Donaire was awarded the technical decision victory.
Conclusion
Nonito won this fight on a technical decision so I am sure that the boxing world would like to see a do over to see how this fight would go if there were no distractions such as a bad cut. A rematch between these two fighters is a must in the future!!
