Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero will be making his return to the ring after getting a boxing lesson back in May of 2013 when he challenged the Pound for Pound King Floyd Mayweather, Jr. for welterweight supremacy. Guerrero did exactly what he was suppose to do against Mayweather in that fight which is to apply as much pressure as possible on Mayweather, but Floyd Mayweather was just too fast, too crafty, and too skillful for the ultra-determined Guerrero.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was awarded the 12 round unanimous decision victory in that fight as Mayweather did not seem to break a sweat in the fight against Guerrero.
Now Guerrero is on the comeback trail after getting a brutal reality check from the Pound for Pound King as he will look to show the StubHub Center crowd and the boxing world that he is still a relevant player in the welterweight division. Guerrero’s road to boxing recovery will not be easy as he will be facing Japanese contender Yoshihiro Kamegai. Kamegai is a 1 loss fighter that is hungry and will not show up at the StubHub Center just to collect a paycheck so Guerrero better be ready.
Here is the tale of the tape for tonight’s welterweight bout between Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and Yoshihiro Kamegai.
