This past Saturday night, ‘The Takeover’ Teofimo Lopez put on an outstanding performance in his return to the ring. Pedro Campa could not deal with the offensive onslaught that Lopez brought to him. He got countered by Lopez at every turn in this fight.

In round 7, Lopez caught Campa with a left-up-jab that sent him to the canvas. Campa got up off the canvas and continued to fight on. As the 7th round continued, Lopez did not take his foot off the gas.
He whacked Campa with a barrage of power punches which caused the referee to stop the fight. ‘The Takeover’ Teofimo Lopez got the 7th round TKO victory. Lopez captured the vacant WBC-NABF and WBO International junior welterweight titles with the win.
Conclusion
Lopez’s first trip to the junior welterweight division was a success. He looked comfortable at the weight and may do some damage at junior welterweight.
At the post-fight interview, Lopez did call out Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, ‘KingRy’ Ryan Garcia, and the WBC, WBO, IBF, and RING junior welterweight champion ‘The Tartan Tornado’ Josh Taylor.
