The fight scheduled for September 29, 2014, at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas between Antonio Tarver and Johnathon Banks has been cancelled!
This intriguing matchup between two good heavyweight boxers will be cancelled due to a fractured thumb that Antonio Tarver suffered. Not sure when and if the fight is going to be re-scheduled for a later date, but I do hope that the two sides can come together and figure out a way to fight each other in the near future.
The boxing world would have been treated to a great heavyweight chess match on September 29th between Antonio “Magic Man” Tarver and Johnathon Banks, but now we will have to wait and see if this fight will ever happen because we do not know which direction Tarver will go in once his injury has completely healed.
