So Jermain Taylor’s aggressiveness won over Sam Soliman’s awkward boxing style. Taylor used his bullish boxing style to knock down Sam Soliman multiple times in the second half of this fight en route to an easy unanimous decision victory. What a great win for Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor as he re-captures the IBF middleweight crown.
Taylor’s unanimous decision victory over Soliman will now set up a lot of great possibilities for Taylor to explore in the near future. One of those possibilities could be a showdown with “GGG” Gennady Golovkin, but I am not sure if Taylor should go that route.
Anyway, it is great to see Jermain Taylor with a title around his waist again. Just in case you missed it, here was Potshot Boxing prediction for this IBF middleweight fight between Jermain Taylor and Sam Soliman.

Here is Potshot Boxing’s Prediction for the IBF middleweight title fight between “King” Sam Soliman and Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor!
This is going to be a very good fight! You have the aggressive bull fighting style of Jermain Taylor vs. the awkward I have no idea style of Sam Soliman. Soliman is the IBF Champ though so he is doing something right, I just never understood his boxing stance. LOL!! Anyway, the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi will be treated to a good ole fashion slugfest come October 8, 2014.
I feel that Taylor is going to come out swinging in this fight, and the champion is going to have no choice but to try and survive Taylor’s bulldozing boxing style. Soliman is slick, however, and his slickness could give Taylor some trouble if this fight goes into the later rounds because we all know that when Jermain Taylor fights get into deep waters, Taylor ends up drowning a lot of the time.
Soliman is a good volume puncher who throws punches from all types of angles so we will have to see how Taylor will respond to the volume punching that Soliman will try to impose on him. Here is another tough fight to gage! So Taylor’s pressure vs. Soliman’s awkward volume punching?
If this fight goes into the later rounds, then I would have to go with Soliman given that Taylor would have circum to Soliman’s great volume punching. If the fight does not go past 8 rounds, then I would say that Taylor’s aggression and power got through Soliman’s guard for a knockout by Taylor.
Taylor or Soliman? Man, tough one. I am going to say the IBF middleweight title changes hands on October 8, 2014.
Prediction: Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor by Knockout
