Here is Potshot Boxing’s fight prediction for the upcoming showdown between “The Problem” Adrien Broner and “MagicMan” Paulie Malignaggi!!
So after all of the trash talk and hype leading up to June 22, which one of these trash talkers will prevail? This is going to be a good fight that will showcase a slick and elusive boxer in the “Magic Man” Paulie Malignaggi, pitted against a boxer puncher in Adrien “the Problem” Broner.
Broner will be favored going into the Barclays Center on Saturday Night, but this is definitely by far his toughest fight to date. Broner will be moving two weight classes tonight so this can be an advantage for Malignaggi as he has been established in the welterweight division since 2008.
I expect for the veteran Malignaggi to attempt to outclass the favored Broner by using his elusive boxing skills to jab, jab, jab his way to an upset victory, but there is only one problem, I do not think the stragedy will work. I feel that Broner will use his quick hands to apply pressure to Malignaggi the entire night and if Broner steps up the pace, I believe that Malignaggi will be frustrated and give up like he did in the Amir Khan fight back in 2010.
Broner finally has a decent fighter in front of him that the boxing world will give him credit for beating if he wins tonight. I would not be surprised if the upset happens for Malignaggi given his elusive skill set, but I just feel that Malignaggi is just a stepping stone for Broner as bigger and better things are on the horizon for Broner in the near future.
