Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence, Jr. has not been in the ring since losing the undisputed welterweight showdown with Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford on July 29, 2023. Since losing to Crawford, Spence took a much-needed layoff to recover from the punishment he took from Crawford.

Spence will move up to the junior middleweight division to challenge ‘The Towering Inferno’ Sebastian Fundora for his WBC and WBO junior middleweight titles. Fundora captured the WBC and WBO junior middleweight titles on March 30, 2024, when he replaced Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman on short notice to beat ‘The Soul Taker’ Tim Tszyu.
Fundora is tall and long, which could give Spence some trouble. Also, with Spence not fighting in a year and a half, ring rust could be an issue for him. Can Spence handle Fundora’s reach to capture world titles in another weight division?
Should be an intriguing fight between Spence and Fundora in 2025.
