The first big fight of 2017 will take place in the super-middleweight division between two 1-loss worthy world champions. On January 14, 2017, Badou Jack and James DeGale will fight to unify the WBC and IBF super-middleweight titles at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

This fight is your classic aggressor vs. counter-puncher style fight. I expect for Jack to pressure DeGale at every turn in the fight. Will DeGale do enough counterpunching to keep Jack at bay? DeGale will have a lot of opportunities to look great in this fight because Jack is going to sell out and try to knock DeGale out.
This fight simply boils down to “Pressure vs. Patience.” If Jack can bother DeGale with his unbelievable pressure, then Jack has a huge chance to win this fight. If DeGale, however, can just stay patient, and catch Jack with crisp counterpunching when Jack jumps in on the inside, then DeGale has a huge chance.
I predict pressure and patience have a chance to get the knockout in this fight. This fight will not go the distance. In the end, however, I am going to go with Patience over Pressure.
