This is going to be a very intriguing fight as Amir “King” Khan, (28-3-0, 19 KOs) and Luis Collazo, (35-5-0, 18 KOs) are both coming off of impressive victories in their last fight.
This is one of those fights that can truly be looked at as a toss-up fight. I am sure that Khan will be headed into the MGM Grand as the favorite in this fight given his good speed and elusive boxing skills, but there is always that chin factor lingering with Khan as he is always one good shot away from getting knocked out, and if there is any fighter capable of landing that vicious power shot to end the night it is Collazo so that is what makes this fight so intriguing.
I expect for Khan to come out and use his jab to box the aggressive Collazo in hopes of landing some accurate counterpunching as Collazo tries to close the distance in get inside of Khan.
I expect for Collazo to be the aggressor in this fight by using his tough gritty boxing style to try and throw off the calculated boxing rhythm of Khan.
So, the question will be whether or not Khan can handle the effective pressure of Collazo and protect his chin for however long the fight goes; or will Collazo indeed land that vicious power shot on Khan’s chin to end Khan’s night and any chances for Khan scoring a future fight with the Pound for Pound King Floyd Mayweather?
I am so tempted to pick the upset special in this one, but I just feel that Khan will be up to the challenge on Saturday as he will have his eyes set on the Pound for Pound King in the near future.
Prediction: Khan by Unanimous Decision
