Anthony ‘AJ’ Joshua was all set to fight ‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury this summer in a winner takes all heavyweight champion fight. The fight, however, was put on the shelf due to ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder winning his arbitration case. As a result, the arbitrator ordered Tyson Fury to grant Wilder a third fight.

The Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder trilogy fight is now set to take place on July 24, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada. With that said, Anthony Joshua is on the outside looking in on a super fight with Fury. Now, Joshua vs. Fury will more than likely still happen in the future, but the boxing world will have to wait for this great undisputed heavyweight fight to happen.
With Joshua vs. Fury on the backburner, for now, Joshua and his team turn their attention to heavyweight phenom Oleksandr Usyk. Talks for a possible Joshua vs. Usyk WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO heavyweight title fight are in the works. The target for this fight to happen is for the end of summer.
It’s a huge opportunity for Usyk to take his professional boxing career to another level if Joshua vs. Usyk happens.
The question is, however, if he is ready for a top-caliber heavyweight such as Joshua? If made, Joshua vs. Usyk will be an intriguing fight. Thoughts Boxing World?
