Smith got up from that knockdown, but Smith’s corner saw enough and threw in the towel before Beterbiev could inflict more punishment on him. The referee stopped the fight, and Beterbiev got the 7th-round TKO victory to retain his WBC, WBO and IBF light-heavyweight titles.
Artur Beterbiev is a pure wrecking ball. He has been wrecking every light-heavyweight that gets in his way. There is only one fighter left who has a chance to stop Beterbiev’s wrecking. That fighter’s name is Dmitry Bivol.
Bivol has used his superior boxing and combination punching to befuddle light heavyweights who get in his way. Beterbiev is the only light-heavyweight left for Bivol to prove that he is the best light-heavyweight in the world. Beterbiev and Bivol are looking at each other from across the street.
Beterbiev vs. Bivol could be the next big fight for 2024 for light-heavyweight supremacy. If Beterbiev vs. Bivol happens, who do you have winning this epic undisputed light-heavyweight title fight? Check out Potshot Boxing’s (PSB) latest boxing poll and vote.
