This past Saturday night, the two best light heavyweights in boxing gave the boxing world a high-level chess match. Artur Beterbiev’s effective aggression gave Dmitry Bivol lots of trouble throughout the fight. Bivol used a good jab and accurate combination punching that gave Beterbiev a lot of trouble.

Bivol’s great boxing could have been enough to win the fight. Beterbiev’s effective aggression could have also won this fight. Heading into round 12 it was Bivol or Beterbiev’s fight to lose.
This high-level chess match went to the judges’ scorecards. When the dust settled, Artur Beterbiev got the 12th-round majority decision to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion.
Conclusion
This fight could have gone either way. Lots of people felt that Bivol’s superior boxing was enough for him to get the win. It was Beterbiev’s effective aggression, however, that won the night. Do you want a rematch between these two great light heavyweights, Boxing World?
