On December 16, 2017, David Lemieux will be heading into the Bell Center in Quebec, Laval, Canada looking to take Billy Joe Saunders’ WBO middleweight title. The question will be whether or not Saunders can keep Lemieux at bay enough with a solid jab to prevent Lemieux from doing it.

Saunders is elusive, and Lemieux is relentless. If Lemieux can get to Saunders with his relentless pressure, then he has a huge chance to win this fight. Saunders, again would need to utilize his jab, and jab like there is no tomorrow on Lemieux to set up big shots.
If Saunders can get his jab going early and often, I expect for Saunders to win this fight. Can Saunders box Lemieux for 12 rounds? This is boxer vs. puncher at its best! Saunders can crack too, but if he gets caught by Lemieux, it will be “Good-Night!”
So, who wins? Well Saunders has been in with some good competition in the middleweight division. He has not, however, been in the ring with a hard puncher like David Lemieux. I think it is Lemieux’s time to walk through Saunders defense, crack him, and take home that WBO middleweight title.
Prediction
David Lemieux by Knockout
