This past Saturday night, Emanuel ‘El Vaquero’ Navarrete increased his status as the best featherweight in the sport of Boxing. Christopher ‘Pitufo’ Diaz’s pressure tested Navarrete throughout the fight. Navarrete, however, rose to the occasion and made his aggression outlast Diaz’s.

Navarrete’s effective aggression led to him scoring 4 knockdowns on Diaz. Diaz showed the heart of a champion as he got up from all 4 knockdowns and fought bravely through the Navarrete assault. After the fourth knockdown, Diaz was going to continue to fight despite being out on his feet.
Diaz’s corner and the ring doctor, however, saved him from himself. The referee stopped the fight, and Navarrete was awarded the 12th round TKO victory. As a result, Navarrete retained his WBO featherweight title.
Conclusion
Diaz pushed Navarrete to the limits in that fight. He kept taking a lickin’ and kept on tickin’. Diaz had his moments in the fight as he used his aggression to beat Navarrete’s body down. Navarrete was just too long and strong for the relentless Diaz who fought until there was nothing left.
