Potshot Boxing’s (PSB) Fight of the Year for 2016 is all set for its redo on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz gave the boxing world breath-taking back and forth action in their first fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The result of the first fight was a close 12th round majority decision victory for Frampton. As a result, Frampton captured the WBA featherweight title. Now Act II of this great matchup takes to the west coast at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Santa Cruz and Frampton loves to come forward and inflict punishment. The difference is that Santa Cruz and a little more aggressive than Frampton which turned out to hurt him in the first fight. In this fight, I expect for Frampton to once again set traps for Santa Cruz in hopes of catching him with accurate counterpunching.
If Santa Cruz wants to win the WBA featherweight title, he definitely needs to be a little more patient and strategic in his aggressive attack. This fight has to potential to repeat as Potshot Boxing’s (PSB) Fight of the Year because neither one of these fighters are going to back down from one another.
So, this fight boils down to Santa Cruz’s aggression vs. Frampton’s slickness. Can Santa Cruz out think Frampton in this rematch to create a rubber match? I will go with Santa Cruz’s patient aggression in this fight over Frampton’s slickness. Rubber match, let’s go!
Prediction: Leo Santa Cruz by Split-decision
