Last Saturday night, ‘The American Dream’ Erislandy Lara showed the boxing world why he is still one of the best technical fighters in the sport. Though Lara is not getting any younger, the Cuban legend still amazes boxing fans with his skill, heart, and grit.

Lara made quick work of Ramon Alvarez, (Brother of Canelo Alvarez) in 2 short rounds. With the 2nd round TKO win, Lara captured the vacant WBA (Regular) junior middleweight title. Heading into that fight, Alvarez came in way over the 154-Pound weight limit at the weigh-in, but still, Lara vs. Alvarez remained on schedule.
The only person that could win the title this past Saturday night was Lara, and he did just that.
