This Monday morning, April 20, 2020, the boxing world gets stunned again by the coronavirus. This time it is former WBC junior middleweight champ Tony Harrison’s father and trainer, Ali Salaam who passed away due to complications of the coronavirus.
Ali, who was a former fighter himself, trained his son Tony Harrison for Harrison’s entire professional boxing career. Thoughts and prayers go out to Tony Harrison and his family. Ali Salaam was 59 years old.
