When the sport of boxing resumes after the coronavirus, WBC and Lineal heavyweight champion ‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury will be in a great situation. No matter which way the pendulum swings, Fury will find himself in a big fight.

Currently, when boxing resumes, Fury will either fight a third fight against ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder or a heavyweight unification mega-fight against WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. In the contract of Wilder vs. Fury 2, there was a rematch clause that stated the loser of the fight had 30 days to exercise the rematch clause.
After losing to Fury in their rematch back on February 22, 2020, Wilder exercised that right. By Wilder exercising his right to fight Fury for the third time, Fury has to fight Wilder unless Wilder steps out of the way for Fury to fight an even bigger fight.
That bigger fight would be against Anthony Joshua. Recently talks have started for a possible Joshua vs. Fury heavyweight unification showdown. The only way that fight can happen, however, is if Wilder agrees to step to the side.
