This past Saturday night, ‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury put on one of the best performances of his professional boxing career. He used his good jab, size, and boxing IQ to not only outbox ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder but also to beat him up.
Fury’s effective aggression and surgical punching caused assistant trainer Mark Breland to throw in the towel for Wilder in the 7th round. No matter whether it was putting his weight on Wilder, putting Wilder in the headlock to wear him down, or just pure accurate punching, Fury did it.
Fury was phenomenal in the ring this past Saturday night. Fury’s great boxing produced 2 knockdowns of Wilder and a serious cut in his left ear. Wilder had no answer for Fury. Fury was awarded the 7th round TKO victory and is now the undisputed WBC and Lineal heavyweight champion of the world.
In recent news, Deontay Wilder is blaming his first professional boxing loss on the 40-pound costume he wore to the ring on Saturday night. He states that the costume took his legs away. He wanted to go out on his shield this past Saturday night also so he had an issue with assistant trainer Mark Breland throwing in the towel.
Sometimes in Boxing, a trainer must save the fighter from himself. That was the case on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Breland was saving Wilder from himself. Wilder did not have anything left and staying in longer with a much stronger Fury would have only meant more serious damage getting inflicted on him.
Great stoppage and Breland should be commended for it. Besides, if wearing a 40-pound costume to the ring is Wilder’s reasoning then the finger should be pointed at him. Wilder will always be a dangerous fighter and he will bounce back. He does, however, need to take this fight, learn from it, and come back stronger in the trilogy.
Wilder did confirm that he wants to fight Tyson Fury for the 3rd time. He and Fury will make a lot of money for the trilogy, and while Wilder remains dangerous moving forward, he will once again be the underdog heading into the trilogy fight.
Now that Wilder has tasted defeat for the first time, the boxing world will be anticipating seeing how he will bounce back against Fury.

Deontay Wilder don’t want any more of Tyson Furry, With Tyson new trainers he’s only going to get better, I do believe
Wilder doesn’t wants any more of Tyson, Deontay will have to prove me wrong
I hear you Bro! What about Wilder’s excuse of the 40 pound costume he wore to the ring being one of the reasons he lost the rematch to Fury? Just insane.
