Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford got up off the canvas in what was ruled a slip to systemically break down and stop Egidijus ‘Mean Machine’ Kavaliauskas. Mean Machine was the biggest test for Crawford so far in his professional boxing career and he passed the test with flying colors. Mean Machine had great moments against Crawford as he was catching Crawford with good combinations and counter-punching when Crawford recklessly came in on the inside.

In round 7, however, Crawford was like “let me stop playin’ with Mean Machine.” With that said, Crawford switched from fighting southpaw to orthodox at the right time to step up the pace and stop Mean Machine in the 9th round. Crawford was awarded the tough 9th round TKO victory, thus, retaining his WBO welterweight title.
After the fight, Crawford did not call out any welterweights. Crawford states he will fight any welterweight that comes his way. Crawford is one mean customer in that ring. He got fed up with Mean Machine and disposed of him. Crawford truly is the #1 Pound 4 Pound fighter in boxing.
