Jesus Soto Karass delivers a great left hand shot on Andre Berto in the 12th round and the referee stopped the fight. Soto Karass was awarded the impressive 12 round technical knockout victory to win the vacant NABF welterweight title. I am seriously not sure where Berto will go from here after this loss, but I feel that Berto should keep his head up though because he did hurt his right shoulder in either the third or fourth round.
Also, the fight was very close and may have been scored as a draw had Berto stayed on his feet. In saying all of that, however, we all know that Berto has taken beatings in his last four fights so I feel that he probably will not get a shot at the welterweight title for a while.
