Terence Crawford passed the biggest test of his professional boxing career when he used his crafty style to overwhelm Viktor Postol en route to unifying the WBC and WBO junior welterweight titles. Postol tried to impose his great jab on Crawford early on in the fight, but Crawford switched between Southpaw and the Orthodox stances to offset Postol’s jab.
From round 4 on, Crawford simply exploded on Postol once he figured out the Postol jab puzzle and kept his foot on the gas for the rest of the fight. In the 5th round, Crawford scored 2 big knockdowns on Postol to the delight of Crawford’s Mom and family who were in the MGM Grand boxing crowd.
Crawford was just too crafty for the long Postol as all three judges scored the fight for Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford. He is now the WBC and WBO junior welterweight champion of the world.
