‘King Ry’ Ryan Garcia put the boxing world on notice with his impressive victory over Luke ‘Cool Hand’ Campbell. Campbell did not make it easy for Garcia.
In round 2, Campbell caught Garcia with a vicious left hook that sent him crashing to the canvas. It would be the first time in his professional boxing career to taste canvas.

Garcia got up from the left-hook and survived round 2. After round 2, Garcia used his speed and combination punching to dominate Campbell for the rest of the fight.
In round 7, Garcia landed a devastating left-hook to Campbell’s body that caused a delay-reaction to Campbell and then sending him to the canvas. The shot was so devastating that Campbell did not get up.
The referee stopped the fight, and Garcia was awarded the 7th round TKO victory. With the win, Garcia captured the vacant WBC Interim lightweight title. After the win, Garcia called out Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis first, and then Devin ‘The Dream’ Haney.
It is refreshing to see Garcia face adversity for the time in his professional boxing career, get past it, and win like a true champion. Also, it’s great to see that Garcia wants all the smoke after his impressive victory over Campbell.
