Sam Goodman was all set to get a shot at ‘The Monster’ Naoya Inoue’s WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, and RING junior featherweight titles on January 24, 2025. Goodman’s eye recently got reinjured, which caused him to withdraw from his upcoming title shot against Inoue.
This fight was originally scheduled for December 24, 2024, but Goodman suffered an eye injury, which caused the fight to get postponed and rescheduled for January 24, 2025. Now, injury has reared its ugly head on Goodman again. ‘The Monster’ Naoya Inoue will still fight come January 25.
Kim Ye-joon will replace Sam Goodman as Naoya Inoue’s opponent for the WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, and RING junior featherweight title fight. The fight will still be at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, and ESPN+ will air this fight.
