‘The Dream’ Devin Haney is set to defend his WBC lightweight title tonight against the always tough Yuriorkis ‘The Cyclone from Guantanamo’ Gamboa. The last time Gamboa was in the ring, he fought bravely on a torn Achilles tendon against Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.
He lost that fight to Davis by 12th round TKO, but Gamboa won the respect of the boxing world for fighting Davis hard through his injury. Davis vs. Gamboa happened back in December of 2019. Now Gamboa has another gamed competitor in front of him in Haney.
