The Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos, Jr. fight scheduled for June 19, 2021 has been postponed. Lopez was all set to defend his undisputed lightweight titles, but the fight had to be moved to a new date due to him testing positive for COVID-19.

Kambosos, Jr. expressed his disappointment on social media as to how could Lopez be so irresponsible. Kambosos, Jr. felt that he was ready to become the undisputed lightweight champion. He will have to wait, however, to try and realize his dream.
Lopez vs. Kambosos, Jr.’s fight date has been moved to August 14, 2021. This fight will still take place at the LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida and Triller PPV will air this fight.
