Here are the boxing results from the Kell Brook vs. Errol Spence, Jr. IBF welterweight title fight!
There’s a new sheriff in the welterweight division, and his name is Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence, Jr. Spence, Jr. was in hostile territory in the UK and showed the Boxing World that he is ready to take the next steps to becoming one of the best fighters in Boxing.
The Bramall Lane Football Ground boxing crowd serenaded Spence with stabbing boos as he entered the ring. Spence, Jr. took it all in and used the hostile reception to take it out on Kell ‘Special K’ Brook.

This fight was nip and tuck for the first half of the fight. Spence, Jr. did a great job targeting Brook’s body while smothering a lot of Brook’s action in the process. On the other hand, Brook did a great job countering Spence Jr.’s jab with a straight right over the top.
The chess match was real in this fight. As the fight moved on into the later rounds, Spence, Jr. effectively backed Brook into the ropes and banged his body like no tomorrow. Brook showed the Boxing World that Spence, Jr. is susceptible to getting hit with the uppercut as he stunned Spence Jr. multiple times in this fight with a sneaky uppercut.
The Bramall Lane Football Ground boxing crowd roared for every little action Brook made in this fight. Brook’s eye, however, would fail him in this fight, which led to him taking a knee in round 10. As round 10 continued, Spence, Jr. really started to pour on the pressure.
Brook, however, showed the heart of a champion as he got up off of the canvas and ripped Spence, Jr. with some vicious power shots of his own that brought the Bramall Lane Football Ground boxing crowd out of their seats!
Brook and Spence, Jr. produced one of the best rounds of 2017 in that 10th round! In the 11th round, however, the war of attrition finally got the best of Brook as Spence, Jr.’s accumulation of punishment; compounded with Brook’s fading eyes caused Brook to take one last kneel down.
This time Brook would not get off of the canvas as he eyes were hurting him so bad that he was seeing double-vision. The referee stopped the fight, and Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence, Jr. was awarded the 11th round TKO victory, thus, capturing the IBF welterweight title.
Conclusion
Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence, Jr. captured his 1st world boxing title and is already letting the Boxing World know that he wants to unify the welterweight division. After the fight, Spence, Jr. called out Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman and Manny ‘PacMan’ Pacquiao.
I love this kid’s confidence and braveness. Spence Jr. wants to fight the best and you have to respect that. Spence, Jr. has what it takes to clean out the welterweight division. Brook did show the Boxing World, however, that a simple uppercut does bother Spence, Jr. at times.
With that said, Spence, Jr. is a smart kid so I am sure he will clean up any flaws en route to becoming one of the best fighters in the sport.
