Tyson fury was stripped of the IBF heavyweight title on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, for not fighting his mandatory defense against Vyacheslav ‘The Czar’ Glazkov. Instead, Fury is interested in a rematch with the former IBF, WBA (Super), IBO, and WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Fury’s decision not to fight his mandatory challenger may turn out to be a good choice in my humble opinion given how the fight in November produced a sold-out crowd of 45,000 raging boxing fans clamoring for the Klitschko/Fury showdown which could bold well for the new champ in a rematch.
Fury could stand to score a huge purse in a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko in 2016 so it makes sense for Fury to make every effort to fight Klitschko again and prove to the boxing world that the last fight was not a fluke.
