This past Saturday night, Canelo Alvarez was spectacular in front of his Guadalajara, Mexico boxing crowd. He was too skilled for John Ryder. Ryder showed heart, but Canelo’s effective body punching and counterpunching ruled the fight.

The effectiveness of Canelo led to two knockdowns of Ryder. Ryder hung in until the final bell, but when the dust settled, Canelo remained Undisputed. He got the 12th round unanimous decision victory to retain his WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, and RING super-middleweight titles.
