“Dr. Steelhammer” Wladimir Klitschko was all set to defend his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO and Ring Heavyweight titles against mandatory challenger Kubrat “The Cobra” Pulev of Bulgaria.
The stage was set for Klitschko to give the O2 World boxing crowd in Altona, Hamburg, Germany another routine performance, but the Klitschko train got derailed momentarily as Klitschko suffered a torn left biceps injury during his sparring session.
The biceps injury that Klitschko suffered requires him to sit out at least 4 weeks which caused his mandatory championship fight on September 6, 2014, with Pulev to be put on hold.
